Please join usin person for an International Information System Security Certification Consortium ISC2 Middle Georgia Chapter / Middle Georgia State University, Association Of Information Technology Student (AITS) joint Coffeehouse presentation. Dr. Myungjae Kwak will be our presenter at the Warner Robins campus location in the Walker Auditorium.

About the Speaker: Dr. Myungjae Kwak is Department Chair of the Computer Science Department at Middle Georgia State University. He is also the Peyton Anderson Endowed Professor of Information Technology. Over the past several years, Dr. Kwak’s research has focused on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to programming education, IoT sensor networks, and biomedical informatics. He has secured significant grants, including a National Science Foundation grant for investigating fragmentation rules and improving metabolite identification. Additionally, he has secured funding from Affordable Learning Georgia for textbook transformation projects.
Dr. Kwak’s active involvement in curriculum development, guiding the integration of advanced technologies in IT and CS education, is a testament to his dedication to providing high-quality education. Middle Georgia State University has been Dr. Kwak’s academic home since 2011, where he values the strong sense of community and collaboration among faculty and students.
Dr. Kwak has been actively engaged with the computing community where he appreciates the organization’s focus on research-driven teaching and the opportunities it provides for cross-disciplinary collaboration. His professional and personal interests include fostering cross-disciplinary research and building global academic partnerships. Dr. Kwak regularly collaborates with international scholars, underscoring his belief in the power of education to bridge cultures and create global connections.
